Experience the "world of refinement"
Organized by: Tango Textile Industry Association TANGO OPEN CENTER
The Tango region produces more than 7% of Japan's white fabrics for post-dyeing.
This experience allows you to tour Japan's largest silk fabric refinery and processing plant, which is located within the facility. Until now, it was only open to industry insiders, but it has now been opened to the general public. This is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to see the process in which fabric refined at this processing plant is dried, processed, inspected, and certified as "Tango Chirimen." You can also enjoy wrapping buttons made with "Tango Chirimen" and learning how crepe is made. A souvenir cosmetic product made from silk sericin produced from the cocoons is also included.
