Have you ever suddenly realized something or made a new resolution while traveling in an extraordinary environment?
That is the power of travel.
"Health tourism" combines "travel" and "health" to mean enjoying a trip to the fullest, restoring your mental and physical health, recharging your energy, and continuing healthy behavior after you return home, so that you can live a rich daily life.

The entire city is part of the San'in Kaigan Geopark, a UNESCO Global Geopark, and part of the coastline is also part of the San'in Kaigan National Park. Whether it's walking, cycling, marine activities or forest bathing, you can enjoy exercising in the natural environment that suits you.

Kyotango, surrounded by the sea, mountains, and villages, is full of rich ingredients. With seasonal ingredients, Kyotango is proud of the fact that "it's delicious no matter when you come!" Eating seasonal foods also helps keep you in good health during that season.

There is a hot spring blessed by the geopark.
With 40 hot springs, it boasts the most in Kyoto Prefecture, and the spring quality is diverse.
In addition to day-trip hot springs, each inn has its own hot spring that you can soak in to your heart's content.

Kyotango is the town where Kimura Jiroemon, the world's longest-living man, lived (he died at the age of 116), who was recognized by the Guinness World Records. The ratio of centenarians per population is about three times higher than the national average, and the town is attracting attention as a place of healthy longevity.

The Kyotango City Tourism Corporation has worked with local businesses and others to create a health tourism program unique to Kyotango with advice from the NPO Japan Health Tourism Organization. In 2020, the corporation became the first in Kyoto Prefecture to receive the Health Tourism Certification, which evaluates tourism products from the perspective of "travel and health."
We offer a wide variety of programs, including programs to heal the body and mind in a town known for its healthy longevity and experience the secrets to longevity, as well as a long trail program of 8 courses along the coastline and through the magnificent natural scenery of the UNESCO Global Geopark, covering 80km.
