From Kyotango to the world: The 1st World Longevity Summit held
The 1st World Longevity Summit was held in Kyotango City for four days from June 7, 6.
The event invites scholars and experts from around the world who are conducting cutting-edge research into healthy longevity, with the aim of creating a happy, healthy, and long-lived society.
During the summit, various academic research projects were presented at symposiums and conferences, and the open lectures featured exhibit booths for companies related to gourmet food, health tourism, and food and health. The event was bustling with visitors not only from within the city but also from within the city, including local government officials.
Approximately 4.2 people also participated in the "Kyotango Health Tourism Experience," where participants enjoyed a 20-kilometer trail walk while experiencing nature. They stretched their bodies using ropes and Tango crepe fabric at Hatchohama Beach, enjoyed the sound of the waves and the smell of the sea, and experienced "thalassotherapy" by wading barefoot into the ocean. They also walked to Kotohikihama Beach in the San'in Coast Geopark.
