Tateishiwa and Nochigahama
This coast is dominated by Tateiwa, a geospot that represents Kyotango in the San'in Coast UNESCO Global Geopark. The crystal clear seawater and the large, clean grains of sand washed by the waves make this a spectacular spot to enjoy the winter Sea of Japan, with the dynamic rough waves of the Sea of Japan combined with the snowy scenery of Tateiwa in the summer. Cross the Tenkitenki Bridge over the Takeno River that flows into the coast and enjoy the promenade to the Taisei Kofun Group, or walk west along the coastline to Ushirogahama Beach. There is also the Tenkitenki Tango Roadside Station nearby.
