Tangomatsushima
The name comes from the fact that the chain of islands stretching from Tango-cho Konoshiro to the east resembles Matsushima, one of Japan's Three Most Scenic Views. The scenery of the ria coastline continues to Kyogamisaki, and the beautiful silhouette reflected in the morning and evening sunshine is impressive. There is an observation deck near the Inugasaki Tunnel on National Route 178. There is a swimming beach nearby, which is crowded with many bathers in the summer. It is part of the Tango Peninsula Coast Area of Tango-Amanohashidate-Oeyama Quasi-National Park.
