The Northernmost Meridian Tower, proof that this is the northernmost point on the Japan Standard Time Meridian, is located along the coastal road leading to Shichiryu Pass. It is a symbol of the northernmost point on the Japan Standard Time Meridian, at 135 degrees east longitude, and displays the standard time in Japan and around the world.
